Privacy Policy for My Stock Yardages

In short: My Stock Yardages is local-first. Its calculator works without a network connection. Network access is used for iCloud sync and privacy-friendly anonymous analytics. We do not sell personal data, show ads, or track you across apps or websites.

About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how My Stock Yardages (the “App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information. The App does not require an account, registration, your name, or your email address.

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the information you create locally on your device, including club names and yardages, imported CSV data, environment settings, saved records, notes, and comments. Core calculations and access to locally stored data remain available without a network connection.

iCloud Sync

When iCloud sync is enabled, the App stores a copy of your club tables and saved history in your private Apple iCloud key-value store. This lets the latest changes sync between devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

• iCloud data is handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
• We do not receive your Apple Account credentials and cannot browse the content in your private iCloud store.
• You can stop future syncing at any time in the App’s Settings.
• The “Delete iCloud Copy” control removes the App’s synced copy from iCloud and turns off iCloud sync. It does not delete the local copy on the device where you use that control.

Anonymous Analytics

The App uses TelemetryDeck to send the following anonymous product analytics when a network connection is available:

• a one-way hashed, app-specific device identifier (TelemetryDeck does not receive the raw identifier);
• feature-interaction event names and session information;
• the App version and build number;
• general device and system information, such as device model, operating-system version, screen characteristics, language, region, time zone, and accessibility settings; and
• an hour-rounded event timestamp.

We use this information only to understand which features are useful, diagnose broad product issues, and improve the App. TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses. For more information, see TelemetryDeck’s Privacy Policy and Privacy FAQ.

Information We Do Not Send to Analytics

Analytics events never include your yardage values, club names, CSV contents, saved records, notes, comments, precise temperature or altitude, location, contacts, photos, Apple Account information, or iCloud-synced content.

App Store Privacy Summary

The App collects Product Interaction and Device ID data for Analytics. This data is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across apps or websites. The App does not use Apple’s AppTrackingTransparency framework because it does not perform tracking.

Sharing, Advertising, and Sale of Data

We do not sell personal information. The App contains no third-party advertising and does not share data with data brokers. TelemetryDeck acts as our analytics service provider. Apple provides iCloud sync on your behalf when you enable that feature.

Security and Retention

Network traffic for iCloud and TelemetryDeck uses encrypted connections. Local data remains on your device until you remove it or uninstall the App. iCloud data remains under your Apple Account until it is removed through the App or Apple’s services. Anonymous analytics is retained only for product analysis and according to TelemetryDeck’s service policies.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us so we can investigate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the date above.
