1. Scope

This policy explains how the Foldmetry iOS and iPadOS application (the “App”) and Foldmetry’s public support pages handle information. It applies to version 1.2 as described here. Apple’s App Store, Apple Account, StoreKit, TelemetryDeck, email providers, and website-hosting services operate under their own privacy policies.

3. Tracking and advertising

Foldmetry does not track you across apps or websites, create an advertising profile, sell personal information, or share app activity with data brokers or advertisers. The App does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not engage in tracking as Apple defines it.

3A. TelemetryDeck analytics

We use the privacy-friendly analytics service TelemetryDeck (TelemetryDeck GmbH, Von-der-Tann-Str. 54, 86159 Augsburg, Germany) to understand how Foldmetry is used. TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses. Analytics events include:

• an anonymized, untraceable user ID for this app installation;
• actions such as finishing onboarding, starting a session, completing a session, or viewing the Pro screen;
• a timestamp rounded to the nearest hour;
• device metadata such as system version, app version, and device type;
• coarse metadata we define, such as training mode names, difficulty, session kind, and accuracy bands—not answers or question content.

4. Local storage and deletion

The App uses Apple-provided local storage to remember preferences, progress, and training history. This data remains under your device and backup settings. You can use the in-app reset option to clear training data where available, or delete the App to remove its local container from the device. A device backup may retain a copy according to your Apple backup settings; Foldmetry cannot access or delete that backup for you.

5. Purchases

Annual subscriptions and lifetime purchases are offered through Apple’s StoreKit. Apple—not Foldmetry—handles payment details, tax, billing, trial eligibility, refunds, and Apple Account authentication. Foldmetry receives no credit-card or bank details. Your use of the App Store is governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

6. When you contact support

If you voluntarily email support, the email address, message, attachments, and technical details you choose to include are processed by the sender’s and recipient’s email providers. We use that correspondence only to investigate and answer your request, protect the service, or meet a legal obligation. Do not send passwords, full payment details, government identifiers, health information, or other unnecessary sensitive data.

Support correspondence is not collected by the App and is not used for advertising or sold. We keep it only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and maintain necessary business or legal records, then delete or de-identify it when practical. You may ask us to delete a support conversation, subject to applicable legal requirements.

7. Public website

The Foldmetry website is intended to be static and uses no behavioral analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies. Its hosting provider may automatically process limited request data—such as an IP address, time, requested page, and browser information—to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and maintain security. Such infrastructure logs are controlled and retained according to the host’s configuration and policy; Foldmetry does not use them to profile App users.

8. Children

Foldmetry does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The App’s exercises are educational and do not include social features or user-generated content. A parent or guardian should manage the child’s device, Apple Account, purchases, and support contact as appropriate.

9. Security and international processing

Keeping training data on device reduces exposure, but no device or electronic system is completely secure. Support email and website delivery may be processed in regions where their providers operate. Those providers are responsible for their own safeguards and legal transfer mechanisms.

10. Your choices and rights

Training answers and progress stay on the device, so we generally cannot access, export, correct, or identify that content. You control it on the device, including the in-app reset option. Anonymous analytics uses a hashed identifier that we cannot reverse to a person. You can stop future analytics from Settings. For support correspondence that we can reasonably identify, you may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable law provides those rights.

11. Changes

If the App’s data practices change—for example, if a future version introduces cloud sync, accounts, analytics, or a new service—we will update this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures before or when that change takes effect. Material changes will receive an updated effective date and appropriate notice.
